A Tropical Paradise Vacation

Taking a summer vacation with your family to the Bahamas in a luxurious hotel will be the highlight of your year. The Bahamas have endless beaches stretching as far as the eye can see with crystal, electric, blue water. You will experience colorful fish when you go snorkeling with the family.

Spend a day out on the water and rent your own boat to give yourself the freedom to explore everything from the reefs to the caves in the vast ocean. If you’re looking for more of a low-key day, but you still want to get out onto the ocean, then spend a day on a cruise that will have all of the accommodations provided for you and your loved ones. Take a day and sit with your favorite book by the shoreline soaking up all of the sunshine. There is something to enjoy for everyone no matter who you are traveling with.

Before you leave for your trip to the Bahamas make sure to pack clothes that can be worn comfortably during the day and the evening. Remember to always pack a jacket and umbrella just in case you get a rainy day. Bring a nice dress or slacks and a dress shirt for going out on the town for the nightlife and a few bathing suits since you will be spending your days in the sunshine.

Spending your vacation in a tropical paradise in the Bahamas attracts tourists from all over the world. Most people don’t know that since the Bahamas are located in the tropics there are certain times of the year to avoid the islands because you have a higher chance of getting hit by tropical cyclones or hurricanes.

Hurricanes are more common along the east coast of the United States compared to the Bahamas, but careful measures should still be considered if you’re planning on taking a trip to the Bahamas. Hurricane season starts June 1 and goes into the end of November. This gives you plenty of time to prepare for your trip. The summer months typically don’t have hurricanes while August, September, and October are the most popular months for hurricanes in the southern hemisphere. Knowing when the hurricane season helps you plan accordingly for your summer vacation.

It’s always a good idea to purchase travel insurance if you’re planning a trip many months ahead of time. If you get hit by a hurricane and you’re planning on visiting the Bahamas or other Caribbean islands travel insurance will protect your investment. If you need to cancel a trip last minute because of weather-related issues, travel insurance provides reimbursement for pre-paid and non-refundable expenses. This is perfect if you book a cruise or a room in a resort and a hurricane gets in the way of your travels. If you didn’t have travel insurance then your trip would be ruined if a hurricane happened to come in between you and your vacation.

Before hurricane season arrives, make sure to prepare the outside of your home with hurricane shutters such as armor screen in Palm Bay, Florida before you leave your home for your summer vacation.
